ArcelorMittal CEO Mittal: "We are already in a kind of recession"

"In case of Europe, we believe that we are already in a kind of recession", fears ArcelorMittal's CEO, Lakshmi Mittal. During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Mittal discusses with DAF's Andreas Scholz the problems in Europe and their impact on his own company.

The mood at ArcelorMittal is rather sceptical than optimistic these days: "We heard today the German chancelor. She tried to give us a lot of confidence and optimism", says Lakshmi Mittal, CEO of ArcelorMittal. "But still there are a lot of things to happen before we can have a clear visibility about Europe", Mittal criticizes. Lakshimi Mittal is according to Forbes the third richest person in the world.
