Live casino developer Evolution's partner in the Philippines has had one of its gaming licenses revoked, just months after the two companies launched their first live studio collaboration in Asia. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp told Bloomberg News that it has withdrawn One Visayas' license as a gaming system administrator "due to violations of our rules and regulations regarding KYC," referring to the know-your-customer checks used by casinos to verify player identities and prevent fraud and money laundering. The company has the right to appeal the regulator's decision. The revoked license pertained to One Visayas' own casino site, Bigwin29, which must now be shut down by October 8. However, One Visayas retains its other license, which is required to operate Evolution's live studio. “The B2C and B2B licenses are completely independent of each other and there are no issues with the studio,” Evolution spokesperson Adrian Westman told Bloomberg. Following the announcement, Evolution shares dropped more than 4 percent on the stock exchange.
