Posted on Monday, 10 February 2020 09:56London-listed hospital operator NMC Health issued a statement earlier today to confirm recent media speculation that it has received highly preliminary approaches from two investors regarding possible offers for the company. According to the business, KKR and GK Investment Holding Group have both expressed interest in the group. However, no offer has been tabled at this time and there have been no discussions that have taken place. The statement follows media reports last week that suggested NMC Health has piqued the interest of unknown private equity firms regarding a takeover. Shares in the company rose 14.1 per cent following the announcement of the interest to GBP 7.99 at 08:34 earlier today, giving the group a market capitalisation of GBP 1.67 billion. There can be no guarantee that any proposal will be tabled or as to the terms of any possible offer. NMC Health has offices in the United Arab Emirates and the UK and is listed in both Abu Dhabi and London. The group is billed as the largest private healthcare company in the gulf and ranks among the top fertility service providers globally, according to its website. During the opening six months of 2019, NMC Health recorded revenue of USD 1.24 billion, up 32.6 per cent from USD 932.00 million in the corresponding period of 2018. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose 22.5 per cent to USD 276.30 million in H1 2019 (H1 2018: USD 225.50 million). In 2020 to date, there have been 146 deals targeting health care and social assistance companies announced worldwide, according to Zephyr, the M&A database published by Bureau van Dijk. Interestingly, the largest of these involved Al Qebaisi and Al Muhairi selling 15.0 per cent of NMC Health to institutional investors for GBP 493.00 million. New Zealand-based Oceania Healthcare, South Africa’s Netcare, Shanghai New Vision Eye Hospital Investment of China and Cayman Islands-incorporated Pine Care Group, among others, have also been targeted in the year so far. © Zephus Ltd

The Middle East private healthcare hospital operator said no proposal has been made by either company and "there have been no discussions as to the terms of any possible offer". "There can be no certainty that any offer will be made for thecCompany, nor as to the terms on which any offer might be made," NMC said in a statement. It also said its founder and chairman BR Shetty is conducting a legal review into potential historical inaccuracies relating to his own stake in the firm and those of three other major shareholders. Shares in NMC Health slumped last week since US research firm and short-seller Muddy Waters accused the company in December of manipulating its balance sheet to understate debt, among other things. Shetty was reportedly looking to buy out his Emirati partners and return to an "active leadership position" at the UAE private healthcare operator. Shetty stepped down as NMC’s chief executive in 2017 but remains one of the largest shareholders, with a 15% stake. He is also the chair and founder of Travelex owner Finablr. NMC said the shareholding review also had implications for the holdings and interests of Saeed Mohamed Butti Mohamed Khalfan Al Qebaisi and Khaleefa Butti Omair Yousif Ahmed Al Muhairi, the company said. Al-Qebaisi and his relative Khalifa Al-Muhairi own a stake of about 24% in NMC. The review suggested that their holdings "have been incorrectly reported historically to the company and the market" it added. NMC Health said that its operations continued to perform 'strongly' and that it expected to report full-year 2019 results in-line with expectations.

Definitiv. Ich stecke leider nicht so im detail in der aktie drin, wie bei wirecard da mir die Informationsbeschaffung etwas schwieriger fällt.

Wenn man sich den Kurs vor 6 Monaten anschaut, ist definitiv einiges an Spielraum

Dieser angebliche übernahme Preis ist ja auch für alle altaktionare lachhaft. Bin gespannt was london gleich macht.
