Dusaniwsky added that large, unexpected losses have forced Beyond Meat short sellers to purchase 5.7 million shares to cover their positions since last week. Short interest in Beyond Meat is currently $129.6 million with 36.19 million shares shorted and short interest accounting for 49% of its float.

S3 said short-sellers have recorded more than $120 million in paper losses since last Friday's close. These investors have essentially gone from being up $80 million this year to being down $45 million betting against Beyond Meat stock.
