Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNSS) announced data from its Phase 1b/2 trial of vecabrutinib in adults with relapsed/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and other B-cell malignancies. The company noted that ‘data are being disclosed in advance of the ASH meeting due to an unauthorized disclosure of the poster on social media this morning.’ However, what the company did not mention was that the poster was shared on social media only following their erroneous upload of the poster to their website. The poster has now been removed from their website, but it did show that 7 out 15 patients exhibited stable disease and zero partial responses. Shares closed down 9% to $0.35.
