Veolia investiert weiter in Gewerbeabfallsortierung  Bildquelle: Veolia 18.07.2018 −  Vor dem Hintergrund der Gewerbeabfallverordnung investiert Veolia in ein flächendeckendes Netz von Vorbehandlungsanlagen in Süddeutschland. In Neuötting im oberbayerischen Landkreis Altötting, in Obermeitingen im oberbayerischen Landkreis Landsberg am Lech sowie in Backnang bei Stuttgart sollen bis Anfang 2019 weitere drei Anlagen mit einer Gesamtkapazität von insgesamt 150.000 Jahrestonnen ans Netz gehen, kündigte der Entsorgungskonzern an. Auch die bereits in Betrieb befindliche Gewerbeabfall-Vorbehandlungsanlage im unterfränkischen Bergrheinfeld (Landkreis Schweinfurt) mit einer Kapazität von 80.000 Jahrestonnen sei bereits technisch ertüchtigt worden. Veolia in Neuötting übernimmt beispielsweise die Abfuhr der Gelben Säcke sowie die Problemstoffsammlung im Landkreis Altötting, die Rest-, Sperrmüll- sowie Papierabfuhr im Landkreis Mühldorf, die Rest- und Biomüllabfuhr im Landkreis Landshut und im Landkreis Rottal-Inn sowie die Restmüllabfuhr und Wertstoffhofentsorgung oder Problemstoffsammlung im Landkreis Traunstein. Der Standort Neuötting verstehe sich darüber hinaus als Komplettdienstleister im Containerdienst bzw. Entsorgungsbereich für mehr als 1.000 Privat-, Industrie- und Gewerbekunden im südostbayerischen Einzugsbereich.

Veolia und Umicore wechseln sich in der Guten/schlechten Performance immer ab. Heute liegt Umicore vorne, da sie allerdings nicht miteinander vergleichbar sind, heißt es= beide im Depot haben;)

Veolia North America Enlarges Scope of Operations, Will Deliver Water Services to 22 New Cities and Industrial Locations across North America Veolia North America announced today that it acquired from American Water Works Company, Inc., the rights to 23 of its water treatment and energy service contracts. The transaction will expand the core municipal water business of Veolia, which is among the top providers of water and wastewater treatment services WERBUNG  in the U.S. and Canada, and will see Veolia welcome 110 new employees to its North America operations. The transaction includes contracts for water treatment services in locations across North America, including major metropolitan areas such as Phoenix, AZ, the fifth-largest city in the U.S., and Seattle, WA. Non-municipal contracts include a college in Illinois, a beverage company, a food processing company and a chemical company. Nearly a quarter of Veolia's business is devoted to water and wastewater solutions, making it well-suited to ensure a seamless transition for its new customers. In keeping with its commitment to community partnership, Veolia intends to work closely with business leaders and residents in the many communities where the newly-acquired contracts are located. Eighteen of these contracts are located in the U.S. in eight different states (Connecticut, Ohio, North Carolina, Illinois, Minnesota, Arizona, California and Washington), and five are located in Ontario, Canada. This move is also in line with the company's strategy to establish a greater presence in the western U.S., where six of the new contracts are located. The transaction is worth $27 million.
