Tom Lawrence, Wendell Wilson, Jeff Geerling, Unraid, LINBIT, Niche VFX, JR Automation, a Hitachi Company, and Arista Networks Join Leading Academics, Researchers and Media Figures for Three Days of Technical Sessions, Live Demonstrations, Enterprise AI and Creative AI Workflow Discussions, Livestreams and Community Events

SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA and WILMINGTON, NC - October 8, 2026 (NEWMEDIAWIRE) - 45Drives, the leader in big, strong, fast, open-source data storage and compute, today unveiled the complete program for its fourth annual Creator Summit, taking place October 20-22 across downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. The three-day gathering will bring influential independent technology creators together with enterprise infrastructure leaders, customers, open-source experts, AI researchers, academics, media figures and film and VFX professionals to examine where artificial intelligence, data ownership and modern computing infrastructure are heading next.

The 2026 Creator Summit is organized around dedicated Enterprise and Creative tracks. Enterprise programming will focus on private and on-premises AI, high-performance data systems, data sovereignty, cybersecurity, open-source infrastructure and the decisions organizations face as AI workloads scale. The Creative Track will examine how AI is changing production, editing, design, storytelling and other real-world creative workflows.

The speaker lineup includes creators Tom Lawrence of Lawrence Systems, Wendell Wilson of Level1Techs and Jeff Geerling; Ed Rawlings of Unraid; 45Drives Technical Director and Ceph Foundation board member Brett Kelly; Bob Henderson of Cass County; Ryan Walker of JR Automation; Dane Adams of Arista Networks; Allan Jude of Klara; Nicholas Wiczynski of NGW Post; Severine Erickson and Fenner Rockliffe of Niche VFX; Tyler Zibaie of Lighthouse Films; Christos Makridis of Arizona State University; and a remote session from Musora Media. Harvard educator and United Nations Senior Expert Alexander Puutio and PhillComm Global Founder and CEO Jon Lindsay Phillips will also join the program for a cross-disciplinary discussion of how enterprise AI is being adopted, measured, communicated and understood.

“This is the strongest program we’ve assembled because it reflects how technology is actually moving,” said Dr. Doug Milburn, President of 45Drives. “Enterprise teams are bringing AI closer to their data, creators are building more of their workflows on infrastructure they control, and open-source communities are influencing both. Creator Summit puts those groups in the same room to work through the same questions and gives people something they can take back and use.”

Thursday, October 22 - Union Station Auditorium, 502 N. Front St. The final day begins at 10:00 a.m. with the AI High Speed Stunt, followed at 11:30 a.m. by Enterprise AI Pulse, a cross-disciplinary look at how enterprise AI is being adopted, measured, covered and understood. Featuring Christos Makridis, Alexander Puutio and Jon Lindsay Phillips, the session will examine private and on-prem AI, data sovereignty, open source, workforce impact, business returns and the changing relationship between traditional technology media and independent creators. A Panelist Livestream runs from 2:00-3:30 p.m., followed by closing remarks and the official Creator Summit afterparty.

Sponsors and partners supporting this year’s event include Seagate, Unraid, Michael Best and Cintas, with Seagate maintaining a presence throughout the Summit. The event will also spotlight customers and ecosystem partners including Cass County and JR Automation, alongside creators whose audiences have become increasingly influential in enterprise technology.

Now in its fourth year, Creator Summit brings together communities that increasingly shape one another: enterprise IT teams deploying AI and managing critical data, open-source engineers building the infrastructure, creators and filmmakers pushing new digital workflows, academics and researchers studying the implications, and technology media interpreting those changes for broader audiences.

Creator Summit can be attended in person or virtually, with key talks and sessions available through the event’s livestream experience. In-person seating is limited and registration and additional information are available on the 45Drives Creator Summit page.
