Ein guter Post aus einem anderen Forum#Tele.gram Great post from another board, might be worth pinning: Example of Short Selling Interest Rate using NAKD As A Possibility Shortie Buys 31 million shares short at 1.00 at a Borrower interest rate of 22% Purchase = $31 million x.22% = $6,820.000 a month in interest for each month they are unable to unload the stock. This interest accrues every month that a short holds the stock. This interest is based on the price the stock was shorted, on top of that if a short cant escape the obviously must buy the stock at a premium also resulting in a loss. So for whomever purchased the 31 million short shares in January, to hold through February would mean $13,640.000 in interest alone. Now if they cant get out and have to sell at say $2.00 a share, the 31 million shares they borrowed now cost $62 Million to cover resulting in a loss of $31 million in the stock plus another $13,640.000 in interest for a total of $44,640.000. For every dollar higher the stock goes add another 31 million. So to escape at $3.00 a share on a squeeze would be a loss of $75,640.00 and so on. Hold onto your shares, when losses mount, shorts will cover thats a fact.
