$NVO CEO Mike Doustdar on Novo Nordisk's pipeline:
"It's true that we've had a couple of setbacks recently in R&D. But that's the nature of this industry. If you don't like setbacks or failures, you shouldn't be in pharma."
He said Novo needs "more shots on goal," must move faster, and continue reinventing itself, adding that investors will hear more at the company's upcoming Capital Markets Day.

"We believe we have a very robust pipeline. But no company has a monopoly on all the good ideas."
He added that Novo needs acquisitions to complement its internal R&D, and confirmed teams are actively evaluating opportunities.
