Novo Nordisk's Q2 sales up by 13% to 76.9B Danish kroner Novo Nordisk A/S announced on Wednesday that its total sales in the second quarter of fiscal 2025 rose by 13% on an annual basis to reach 76.9 billion Danish kroner ($11.9 billion), matching analysts' expectations. The Danish pharmaceutical company reported a 32% annual jump in net profit, which stood at 26.5 Danish kroner, while its diluted earnings per share (EPS) surged by 33% to 5.96 Danish kroner. The Ozempic maker lowered its guidance for full fiscal 2025, now expecting the sales growth in Danish kroner to be three percentage points lower than the 8%-10% growth at CER (Constant Exchange Rates), driven by lower growth expectations for Wegovy and Ozempic in the US market. "While delivering 18% sales growth in the first half of 2025, we have lowered our full-year outlook due to lower growth expectations for our GLP-1 treatments in the second half of 2025. As a result, we are taking measures to sharpen our commercial execution further, and ensure efficiencies in our cost base while continuing to invest in future growth," CEO Lars Fruergaard Joergensen said.
