Adobe Stock Slides Despite Record Results. CFO Heads for Chip Company. The stock was still sliding in late trading. The enterprise software firm reported adjusted earnings of $5.96 a share on revenue of $6.62 billion. That beat analyst estimates of earnings of $5.82 a share on revenue of $6.45 billion. “Adobe delivered record revenue of $6.62 billion in Q2 reflecting strong AI-driven demand across our customer groups,” CEO Shantanu Narayen said in the earnings release. On top of beating second-quarter targets, Adobe also raised its fiscal 2026 outlook. The company now expects earnings to be between $24.35 and $24.45 a share on revenue of $26.5 billion to $26.6 billion. Both ranges beat Wall Street’s current fiscal 2026 estimates—for earnings of $23.54 a share and revenue of $26.1 billion. Also Thursday, Adobe said that CFO Dan Durn is leaving the company on June 15 to become CFO of chips-and-networking company, Marvell Technology. A software executive leaving to work for a chip company feeds Wall Street’s downbeat narrative around software stocks, which continue to struggle amid AI replacement fears. Chip stocks, meanwhile, have spiked as hardware demand soars. Marvell stock is up 230% this year while Adobe has fallen 37%. Earlier this month, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang speculated that Marvell could be the next trillion-dollar company. Durn’s announcement follows Narayen’s recent decision to depart after serving as Adobe’s CEO for more than 18 years. Adobe shares were down 5.5% in after-hours trading following the results. Adobe is trying to alleviate fears around AI disruption by launching its own AI products, including an AI agent platform called CX Enterprise, which is designed to help companies boost sales, improve customer experience, and quicken time-intensive tasks. “Longer term, the key question is whether Adobe can realistically position itself as the core orchestration layer for AI-driven enterprise creativity,” Third Bridge analyst Dylan Koehler wrote on Tuesday. Adobe stock has had a tough time in the weak of earnings report. According to Dow Jones Market Data ahead of Thursday’s market close, Adobe stock has fallen after eight of its last 10 earnings reports.

Toby Ogg analysierte die Oracle-Geschäftszahlen am Donnerstag hinsichtlich ihrer Rückschlüsse für SAP.
