Der letzte Post war die Rede von Meidad

Die Aussage letzte Woche vom ESA Event klangen auch positiv: On September the 24th, I had the honors of participating in the #space_for_5G event thatESA - European Space Agency hosted during the UK Space Conference 2019. This is what I said during my 3 minutes pitch (you can also listen to a recording attached in the first comment). "Hello, my name is Meidad Pariente and I'm the CTO and co-founder of Sky and Space Global - UK Ltd. We believe that communication is a basic need and it should be available and affordable anywhere around the world. It seems like everybody’s talking about affordable services, but what is affordable? I don't know exactly how one can define affordability, but I do know there are some things we really cannot afford. Can we afford not to call our parents or our children, and tell them that we are OK? Can we afford not to consult with a doctor when we are ill? Can we afford not to protect wildlife? monitor the weather, our water, and land? our gas and electricity lines? Can we afford not to use technology, and IoT solutions for precision farming and fisheries, to increase food security and have a better livelihood? Well, by using communication services based on nanosatellites, we can offer a better future to those who really need connectivity. Along with our good friends and soon to be partners in the European Space Agency and in the UK Space Agency, we came up with a new suggested flagship program that I’m very proud to introduce called FITS From Idea To Service. FITS will incorporate several companies from ESA member states, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Poland, and Estonia, that will work together to build the world first, fully IP based network of nanosatellites, which will provide the infrastructure required to deploy connectivity anywhere in the world. In about a year from now, we’ll start deploying our IoT Global Services and later on, we will initiate our real-time communication services for the tropical region. I'll be very happy to answer any question you may have and provide more details. Meidad Zitat vom 31.8: Elon musk instructed SpaceX team to offer rideshare launch opportunities for a 200kg payload at a price of 1M USD. That's 5k$/kg!!! The man is a f$%ing rockstar

Vor kurzem gab es eine Meldung die Meidad sehr offensiv kommentierte...dabei ging es um SpaceX als Träger mit verhältnismäßig niedrigen Transportkosten

Virgin will im November den ersten Flug mit Cube-Sat Abschuss starten.

Also geht es weiter???

Ich glaub ich kauf noch mal was nach, denke es fällt erst mal nach eröffnung

Danke Nic! Die Meldung kannte ich noch nicht. Zumindest ist ein Launch mit der Ariane 5 ein zuverlässiges Trägersystem.

Für mich stellt sich die Frage anders, da ich das wann nicht beeinflussen kann. Wie geht es hier weiter? Selbst wenn die Finanzierung steht und somit die Produktion der nächsten 8 Perlen vollzogen wird - kommt Virgin endlich in die Puppen, um die Perlen nach oben zu bringen? Denn so richtig flott geht es ja bei denen auch nicht voran.
