Geht doch,....

Coole Entwicklung, wollte eigentlich bei 85€ raus, aber die geht ja mit 3-4%Sprünge ab...

Könnte mir vorstellen das SoftBank mehr macht bei Alibaba bekommt wenn Jack Ma weg ist. Gibt n paar nicht nette Geschichten aus der Vergangenheit

Wer das weiß, wird Millionär. Keine Ahnung. Aber meiner Meinung noch total unterbewertet. Hatte diesbezüglich hier schon mal was dazu geschrieben.

Wie hoch steigt die noch?

Musk hat nach einem Bericht der Finanzagentur Bloomberg bereits vor einem Jahr mit dem japanischen Großinvestor Masayoshi Son und seiner Softbank Group über einen Einstieg bei Tesla und einen möglichen Börsenrückzug gesprochen. Die Gespräche im April 2017 seien wegen unterschiedlicher Auffassungen über die Eigentümerstruktur aber gescheitert. Softbank gehört nach Experteneinschätzung jedoch auch aktuell zur Liste möglicher Großinvestoren, die Musk bei der Reprivatisierung von Tesla zur Seite stehen könnten. Im Gespräch sind aber auch der chinesische Internet-Konzern Tencent, der Staatsfonds von Saudi-Arabien sowie Weggefährten von Musk aus dem Silicon Valley wie Peter Thiel und Scott Bannister./hbr/chd/DP/jha

Tiger Global takes more than $1bn stake in SoftBank Fund manager believes Japanese conglomerate is “meaningfully undervalued” July 11, 2018 2:17 pm by Lindsay Fortado Tiger Global, Chase Coleman’s $22bn investment fund, has taken a stake of more than $1bn in Japan’s SoftBank Group, telling investors they believe the stock is “meaningfully undervalued.” “The combination of a world-class set of assets trading at a record discount to NAV strikes us as an odd anomaly that is unlikely to exist forever, and we have invested over $1bn across [their hedge fund and long-only fund] to demonstrate our conviction,” the hedge fund wrote in a letter to investors. “In our view, the opportunity to buy the shares cheaply exists today because SoftBank’s stock has not appreciated in nearly five years, even though the value of its Alibaba stake has increased by over $90bn, more than SoftBank’s entire market capitalisation,” the fund added. “The company also acquired alternative asset manager Fortress and launched the Vision Fund during this period, providing additional asymmetric upside for shareholders.” SoftBank this month filed a preliminary application for the initial public offering of its mobile phone business in Japan. That could be a key moment, say analysts, for the valuation of the company, which many investors have struggled to put a price on. The company had a market capitalisation of ¥9.6tn ($86.3bn) at the close of trade on July 11. Tiger Global, one of the original “Tiger Cub” hedge funds started by former portfolio managers of one of the first hedge funds, Julian Robertson’s Tiger Management, manages around $11bn in its hedge fund division and the other half in venture capital. The SoftBank stake is being held in its hedge fund. Its venture capital arm has invested in many of the same companies as SoftBank, including Flipkart, Uber, and Alibaba. Tiger Global’s hedge fund is one of the best performing funds this year. Its main hedge fund is up 15.9 per cent in the first half of the year, while its long-only fund is up 16.7 per cent. Hedge Fund Research’s index of hedge funds across all strategies was up around 0.8 per cent through June.
