Spotify rallies nearly 15% premarket after Q2 earnings
Shares of Spotify Technology S.A. jumped nearly 15% during Wall Street's premarket hours on Tuesday after the music streaming service reported its second-quarter financial results, which showed that its revenue came in line with market estimates.
The Swedish audio streaming service projected its third-quarter total monthly active users (MAU) to reach 639 million, with premium subscribers likely to hit 251 million. Its revenue is projected to top €4 billion compared to the €2.9 billion seen last year.
The company's stock jumped 14.75% to sell at $339.02 apiece at 6:34 am ET.
