German business magazine Manager Magazin says Uber (NYSE:UBER) has offered more than €1B to buy the joint rideshare business of Daimler (OTCPK:DDAIF) and BMW (OTCPK:BMWYY).
Manager sources say Daimler wants to sell the Freenow unit, but BMW would prefer to sell Uber a stake.

Uber gains after CEO confirms 2021 EBITDA profitability forecast for Mobility and Delivery

During today's WSJ Tech Live event, Uber (NYSE:UBER) CEO Dara Khosrowshahi says the rideshare business is still down 50% globally due to the pandemic and that the Delivery business is now the primary business.
Khosrowshahi says there are pockets, like Hong Kong, where rideshare is exceeding pre-pandemic numbers. Europe was recovering before the coronavirus cases spiked again.
Asked how Uber Eats could achieve profitability, Khosrowshahi says the company is leaning in to increase penetration rates. Uber expects the Delivery business to reach EBITDA profitability next year, in-line with the broader business target.
