Allerdings geht mein Flug schon Mitte Dezember; und selbst wenn die UK Zulassung da sein wird, wird Deutschland trotzdem noch nen Test verlangen -.- Aber mal abwarten :) @Tycoon: Ich hatte im Dezember 2020 Covid und wollte einerseits meine Immunität auffrischen nach spätestens 6 Monaten und andererseits ne Impfung haben, falls das für Reisen benötigt wird. Im April/Mai 2021 sah es aber danach aus, als ob es noch ewig dauern würde, bis Leute meiner Altersgruppe eine Impfung bekommen, und Studienteilnahme war der schnellste Weg. Valnevas Studie war super: kein Placebo und entweder zugelassene AZ oder altbewährte Totimpfstoff-Technologie von Valneva. Außerdem schien Valnevas generelle Pipeline vielversprechend (wenig Risiko, hohe Effizienz der Impfstoffe), und sie hatten schon nen Impfstoff auf dem markt (Dukoral wurde ja zugekauft). Für ne mRNA Studie hätte ich mich wohl nicht hergegeben, da mir das zu riskant gewesen wäre in dem Stadium. Hab allerdings nix gegend die zugelassenen mRNA-Impfstoffe. Hauptsache ich hab anhaltenden Schutz vor Covid ^_^ Bin auch generell ein sehr impffreudiger Mensch und hab mir vor paar Wochen schon ne Grippeschutzimpfung verpassen lassen, zumal wir ja alle ein etwas lockdown-geschädigtes Immunsystem dieses Jahr haben.

Nicht schlecht 👍🏼 dann fieberst du ja doppelt mit. Darf ich fragen wie du dazu gekommen bist Studien mteilnehmer zu werden? Bzw was dich dazu bewegt hat? Sollte es zwingend ein Totimofstoff sein oder war es eher Zufall?

Vielleicht ist ja auch bis Weihnachten die Zulassung durch Zigerman. Ich würds dir wünschen 🙏🤗

Ja. Hab mich auch noch nicht dazu verleiten lassen, mit den zugelassenen Impfstoffen nachzuboostern. Wollte erst Phase 3 Ergebnisse abwarten, und die bestätigten meine Vermutung, dass ich wohl doch ganz guten Schutz haben werde. Muss nur schauen, wie das in Zukunft mit Reisen wird; ob Valneva mir zu Weihnachten noch einmal 2 Tests bezahlt ^_^

Bezüglich Reisen für Studienteilnehmer: Continued trial participation and international travel: As you may be aware from recent media reports, the government has now formalised arrangements in England for trial participants to obtain additional authorised vaccine doses for the purposes of travel if they need them. If you wish to consider this and have not already made any necessary arrangements, please contact your local study team who can provide the necessary information on the pros and cons and help with the logistics. We are informed that vaccine certification for travel on the NHS app is in the process of being adapted to report these additional doses appropriately. If you need to travel and if obtaining a negative PCR test is an accepted alternative option to vaccination certification at your destination, Valneva will still reimburse the cost of up to 2 tests to a maximum sum of £100 per test, as previously communicated. We continue to hope that discussions on allowing trial participants to have certification for travel to more countries without obtaining additional doses will make progress, but this is, of course, uncertain. As mentioned above, Valneva has already commenced rolling submission for initial approval with the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and is preparing to commence rolling submission for conditional approval with the European Medicines Agency. A COVID-19 vaccine booster programme is also now being rolled out in the UK alongside the seasonal flu vaccine programme. Both will include adults aged over 50 years and younger adults in certain risk groups.
