Shares dropped 0.9% to trade at $25.69 ahead of the opening bell. Futures tracking the S&P 500 added 0.6% after President Donald Trump extended the cease-fire between the U.S. and Iran. The move higher came after AT&T reported adjusted first-quarter earnings of 57 cents a share, as revenue climbed 2.9% from a year ago to $31.5 billion. Analysts were predicting earnings of 55 cents on revenue of $31.25 billion, according to a FactSet poll. The company added 294,000 postpaid net phone customers over the quarter, beating the 272,000 additions that the Street was looking for. That will reassure investors, as it signals that a price war with rivals T-Mobile US and Verizon Communications hasn’t stopped AT&T from attracting subscribers.'

Analyst Ulrich Rathe verwies in einer am Mittwoch vorliegenden Studie darauf, dass 53 Prozent an der börsennotierten US-Tochter bereits im Besitz des Bonner Konzerns sei.
