EKSO volume increased 8.32, Applied Digital and EKSO entered into a non-binding term sheet for a proposed business combination of Applied Digital's cloud computing business, Applied Digital Cloud, with EKSO, which, once closed, will go forward as ChronoScale Corporation, an accelerated compute platform purpose-built to support artificial intelligence ("AI") workloads (the "Proposed Transaction").

EKSO Bionics shares surged after Applied Digital agreed to spin off its cloud business and combine it with EKSO. Shares climbed 64% to $8.91 in after-hours trading Monday. Through the close, the stock had fallen 40% this year. EKSO is combining with Applied Digital Cloud to create ChronoScale, which will be focused on supporting AI workloads. The deal is expected to make it easier for EKSO to focus its operations and address demand for AI. EKSO had been exploring strategic alternatives, which resulted in the proposed deal with Applied Digital, Chief Executive Scott Davis said. "We approached our review thoughtfully and with an aim to maximize shareholder value, and we believe the Proposed Transaction has the potential to achieve that goal," Davis said. Applied Digital plans to own 97% of the combined company.
