AI boom set to turbocharge uranium demand in 2026 Limited supply relief That demand signal is colliding with a market facing persistent supply challenges. A majority of surveyed investors expect mined uranium to meet less than 75% of future reactor requirements, citing years of underinvestment, long permitting timelines and declining secondary supplies. Against that backdrop, more than 85% anticipate higher prices into 2026, with many pointing to a $100–$120/lb range and some referencing upside scenarios as high as $135/lb if supply fails to respond. Taken together, the rise of AI-driven power demand, tightening uranium supply and improving policy support are shifting how investors frame the commodity. Rather than a fuel tied narrowly to reactor build cycles, uranium is increasingly viewed through the lens of energy security and critical infrastructure. For many market participants, that combination points to a structurally stronger uranium market beyond 2026. https://www.mining.com/ai-boom-set-to-turbocharge-uranium-demand-in-2026/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

US Rare Earth Buyers Still See China Curbs Despite Trump Deal China is still restricting the rare earth elements that the US needs to produce its own permanent magnets and other products even after President Donald Trump reached a deal with his Chinese counterpart in October to lift restrictions on the supplies, according to market participants. More than a dozen consumers, producers, government officials and trade experts said that while China has boosted deliveries of finished products — primarily permanent magnets — the US industry remains unable to acquire the inputs needed to make those items on its own, a key priority for the administration. The people asked not to be identified discussing matters that aren’t public. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-12-24/us-rare-earth-buyers-still-see-china-curbs-despite-trump-deal?embedded-checkout=true

Hello LaraAna, thank you for asking. I understand your comment as some mild form of criticism?? Am I wrong or not?? The German language represents 6% of the content in the internet were as Englisch is 60% - this is after „Adam Giant“ 10 times more. Therefore you find more information in English compared to German. As my dear forum participants already explained. The company and its affiliates also working in English language countries - Australia for example (Base Resources). Therefore once again information is published in English language in the first place. The rare earth problem is also more present in English media - therefore once again more content there. As you might know Energy Fuels is a Uranium Company first and foremost. Who does not have nuclear reactors anymore? Right Germany - this implies there is not much news in German language concerning the purchase and trading of uranium. It i just not needed. The last thing is English is standard in the science world. Also there way more publications in this language impacting the Company Energy Fuels. As my forum colleagues already emphasize there are so many technical aids nowadays for automatic translation so use this for follow the conversation and info posted. So let me end my reply by expressing my sincere wishes for Christmas and also have a „good slide“ 🛝 into the new year 2026. P.S. in 2025 I was not thinking that speaking or writing English is a special edgy skill as you encounter this language almost everywhere and words of English language are more and more used in daily life and getting adopted.

China’s mineral dominance gives Western magnet makers a moment in the sun KEY POINTS A turbulent year of export restrictions and tariff threats has thrust the importance of magnet makers into the global spotlight. Rare earth magnets power everything from electric vehicles, wind turbines to smartphones and medical equipment. “Frankly, we were the solution to the problem that the world didn’t know it had,” Neo Performance Materials CEO Rahim Suleman told CNBC. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/12/24/critical-minerals-rare-earth-magnet-makers-relish-a-moment-in-the-sun.html?__source=sharebar%7Ctwitter&par=sharebar

Seid doch froh, dass Rudi die Informationen mit uns teilt. Wenn jemand von euch das übersetzt und hier einstellt, ist sicher auch niemand böse. Die Arbeit möchte aber vermutlich auch niemand von euch übernehmen. Danke Rudi

NewYork Times OPINION THE EDITORIAL BOARD The U.S. Must End China’s Rare Earth Dominance Breaking China’s monopoly is crucial for America’s national security. The United States needs to develop reliable alternative sources of rare earths so that our ability to make weapons does not depend on the good will of a potential adversary. America also needs to reduce its reliance so that even in peacetime, China cannot wield its monopoly as a trump card to be played whenever the interests of the two nations diverge. (America’s vulnerability on rare earths is part of the broader security weaknesses that we described in our recent series of editorials, “Overmatched. The Trump administration has started taking steps in this direction. It has invested in mines and refineries, sometimes by buying federal stakes in the companies involved. It has also signed trade deals for rare earth mining and refining with other countries, including Australia, Japan and Saudi Arabia. The long-term solution should start with an all-of-the-above strategy that includes building up capabilities in the United States and in allied nations, as well as financing research into potential alternatives to rare earths. Some automakers have started doing this research. Breaking China’s dominance will require creativity and patience. But the goal should be nonnegotiable. The United States and its allies must solve their rare earth problem. The world’s democracies cannot depend on the most powerful authoritarian state — and an increasingly aggressive one — for critical minerals. The potential costs, to prosperity and freedom, are too great. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/22/opinion/the-us-must-end-chinas-rare-earth-dominance.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share
