$ZIM management led buy out proposal estimated at around $𝟐𝟎/𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 According to calcalist: ZIM’s CEO, Eli Glickman, has partnered with shipping magnate Rami Unger in a plan to acquire all of ZIM’s shares, potentially taking the company private and delisting it from the NYSE. The proposed valuation is between $2.3 billion and $2.4 billion, a premium of up to 28% over its current market value of approximately $1.87 billion. Unger, who imports Kia vehicles among other ventures, aims to eventually merge ZIM with his own shipping company, Ray Shipping, in a deal combining cash and share exchange. The acquisition is expected to be financed with 50–60% leverage: $500–700 million in equity from the group, and the remainder via bank loans, mezzanine financing, and potentially hundreds of millions in backing from prominent Greek maritime financiers The board is weighing if Glickman should step aside during talks and whether to sell when Zim’s market value is below its cash holdings.

2,4? Allein Zims Cashreserven liegen bei irgendwie $2.31B, niemals kann das ganze Unternehmen für gerade mal $2,4B gekauft werden. Das erste Angebot ist für gewöhnlich aber eh immer zu tief angesetzt, bevor es dann(oft mehrmals) nach oben korrigiert wird
