Die 50 größten Bergbauunternehmen der Welt: Der Wert der Aktien von Kazatomprom, dem weltweit größten Uranproduzenten, überstieg am Ende des dritten Quartals 10 Milliarden US-Dollar und belegte damit Platz 36. Die World Nuclear Association (WNA) prognostiziert einen weltweiten Reaktorbedarf für Uran auf fast 130.000 Tonnen (~285 Millionen Pfund) im Jahr 2040.
