Melinta Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: MLNT) announced in its third quarter earnings (10Q) that it "has been managing its liquidity position and, while we continue to evaluate potential strategic and other alternatives, including a sale of all or substantially all of the Company’s assets, it will likely be necessary for us to commence proceedings under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code." Shares closed down 40% after hours to $1.20.

Tja in Anbetracht der Marktkapitalisierung kann man sich das schon vorstellen allerdings ist der Antibiotikamarkt nicht der attraktivste und mit vollem Marketing auf die Beine stellen müssen sie erstmal ne Menge reinstecken. Es würde allerdings die Stumpfsinnige Meldung erklären das man den Launch verschiebt nach dem Approval weil man genau weiß in welche Richtung man gehen wird. Unrealistisch nicht aber wieviele haben davon gesprochen das amag ptn aufkauft,oft ist es eben nur der Wunsch.

Es wird interessant... in den USA wird spekuliert das Ligand Pharmaceuticals, als Lizenzgeber von Baxdela an Melinta, Melinta übernimmt. Als Zeitpunkt wird dieses Wochenende bzw. bis zum 6. November getippt. Am 6. November wären wieder Quartalszahlen fällig. @Gottsbrain hältst du das für realistisch? Für Ligand würde es natürlich Sinn machen, statt 2,5% Royalties den ganzen Kuchen zu bekommen.

Vermutlich deshalb auch nach Börsenschluss die Veröffentlichung. Bis morgen beruhigt es sich hoffentlich wieder.
