MercadoLibre (NASDAQ:MELI) stock falls 2.0% in after-hours trading after incurring a Q4 loss, which includes $31.6M in financial expenses and $9.9M of foreign currency losses. Q4 loss per share of $1.02 compares with a loss of $1.11 per share in Q4 2019; may not compare with EPS consensus estimate of 12 cents. Incurred $31.6M in financial expenses during Q4, mostly from financial loans entered into in 2020, mainly in Brazil and Argentina; also incurred interest expenses from trusts related to the factoring of its credit card receivables in Argentina. Had a forex losses of $9.9M, mainly related to the difference between Argentina’s official exchange rate and the blue-chip swap rate at which MELI effectively carries out stock repurchases in Argentine Pesos. Q4 net revenue of $1.33B beats the average analyst estimate of $1.23B and increased from $674.3M in the year-ago quarter. Gross profit of $489.0M rose from $308.3M. Q4 gross merchandise volume of $6.57B increased from $3.87B in the year-ago quarter; gross profit margin of 36.8% narrowed from 45.7% in the year-ago quarter. Q4 total operating expenses of $514.2M rose 36% Y/Y.

War abzusehen dass die 2000$ Marke nicht direkt ohne Konsolidierung genommen wird, bin aber überzeugt dass sie bis zu den nächsten Zahlen wieder höher steht
