The solution described in the patent enables reduced manufacturing cost through a reduced number of components. The patented innovation makes the manufacturing of a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell easier and more cost effective. More specifically, the patent comprises a novel way of assembling the fuel cells using spot welding, which in turn enables fewer components. The technology covered in the patent is especially applicable for electric bikes, electric scooters and autonomous mobile robots (AMR), used in manufacturing industries. “This patent is further evidence of our technological edge in the segments we are focused on – 2-4 wheelers, marine applications, and their auxiliary systems. Every industry seeks to simplify production and reduce cost. That makes innovations such as ours, which minimize the number of components, very desirable,” says Michael Glantz, CEO of myFC. This specific patent has previously been granted in China, Mexico, Japan, Canada, South Korea, the EU, and the United States. myFC’s global patent portfolio consists of more than 100 approved patents and ongoing patent applications.
