Pure Energy's CV-3 well returns average of 175 mg/L Li 2016-09-14 09:18 ET - News Release Mr. Patrick Highsmith reports PURE ENERGY MINERALS REPORTS POSITIVE INITIAL LITHIUM BRINE ANALYSES FROM CV-3 WELL AT CLAYTON VALLEY SOUTH The initial brine analyses from Pure Energy Minerals Ltd.'s latest exploration borehole at the Clayton Valley South (CVS) lithium brine project are very positive. Sampling in CV-3 encountered continuously elevated lithium compositions from a depth near the top of the perforated interval of the well at approximately 244 metres (800 feet) to the deepest sample collected near the bottom of the perforated interval at 564 metres (1,850 feet) below surface. The lithium content over this 320-metre (1,050-foot) interval ranged from 150 milligrams per litre to 200 mg/L, averaging approximately 175 mg/L. In June, drillers successfully completed the CV-3 well beyond target to a total depth of 610 metres (2,000 feet) below ground level. The new exploration hole is located approximately 200 metres (656 feet) southeast of CV-1. During July, the well drillers prepared the well for geophysical logging and sampling by flushing sediment and residual drilling muds from the hole. Independent hydrogeologists from Montgomery & Associates completed sampling of the well using site-specific hardware and techniques developed by Pure Energy and its team. The sampling targeted specific intervals based on geology and analysis of downhole geophysical data. The team collected a total of 19 discrete fluid samples from depths of 45 metres (150 feet) down to 564 metres (1,850 feet). As previously encountered in the northern project area, the results confirm the presence of a shallow, fresher water zone from 45 metres (150 feet) down to approximately 122 metres (400 feet), which is underlain by brackish zones from 152 metres (500 feet) to 175 metres (575 feet). Brine is first encountered at a depth between the brackish zone and the top of the perforated zone at approximately 244 metres (800 feet). The range of lithium concentrations in the brine is very consistent (possibly within the analytical error of the method), and there is no evidence of zonation. Since the samples are from discrete depths, there may be variation between the sampled intervals, but there were no internal samples of fresher water or indications of dilution in the geophysical data below the brine interface. Pure Energy Minerals' chief executive officer, Patrick Highsmith, commented on the results: "We are very pleased with the grade and consistency of the brine encountered in CV-3. It is also positive that all the wells in the northern portion of the project have bottomed in brine. In fact, CV-3 confirms the presence of lithium brine well below the bottom of our inferred resource, at 494 metres (1,620 feet). The average lithium concentrations encountered in CV-1 (209 mg/L) and CV-3 (175 mg/L) are well above the average grade of our inferred resource (102 mg/L). Given these higher lithium grades and increased saturated thickness in this area, we expect to see the lithium endowment increase in the northern project area." In general, lithium concentrations are positively correlated with brine electrical conductivity from downhole logs, and the geophysical data show that elevated fluid conductivity extends to the base of the borehole. This means that lithium brine is likely present to the base of the borehole, significantly extending the depth range of lithium brines on the Clayton Valley South project. The overall chemistry of the CVS brines continues to be favourable. The magnesium and calcium concentrations are consistent with previous sampling from nearby wells. The average ratio of magnesium to lithium in CV-3 is approximately 2.7. Magnesium-to-lithium ratios of less than 3.0 are considered to be favourable for lithium processing, and lower concentrations of calcium and strontium may also be beneficial. September and October will be active months in the field at the CVS project. The company continues to augment its database and build a three-dimensional picture of the CVS brine and its host aquifers. Continuing work includes a new round of downhole geophysical logging in CV-3 and other wells. Field crews are also collecting additional samples from several of the boreholes in Clayton Valley. The Pure Energy team is well under way with the engineering and technical studies that will contribute to the preliminary economic assessment slated for completion later this year. Quality assurance and quality control All analytical data reported in this news release were generated by Western Environmental Testing Laboratory (Wetlab) of Sparks, Nev. Wetlab is accredited by the Nevada State Division of Environmental Protection for determination of lithium, magnesium and other elements in non-potable water by EPA method 200.7. The lab employs its own quality assurance program to ensure accuracy and precision of its data. Consistent with industry best practice, Pure Energy inserts additional blind quality control samples with every batch of samples. ALS Minerals in Vancouver, B.C., provides systematic blind and independent check analyses on the lithium and other analyses in the sampling program at Clayton Valley South. ALS Minerals Vancouver operates an industry-leading quality management system and is accredited under ISO 17025 for provision of mineral analysis. The data described herein have satisfied the company's quality criteria for release. Infrastruktur (wie beispielsweise Strom, Straßen, Zugang und Explorationsressourcen) steht ohne weiteres zur Verfügung. Die von Albemarle betriebene Mine Silver Peak ist der einzige aktive Lithiumbergbaubetrieb auf Solebasis in ganz Nordamerika. In der Mine Silver Peak wurde 1967 mit der Lithiumproduktion aus den reichhaltigen lithiumhaltigen soleführenden Aquiferen Main Ash im Clayton Valley begonnen. Albemale hat Hunderte von Bohrungen in den Wüstenboden im Clayton Valley niedergebracht, um das Lithium anhand des kostengünstigen Einsatzes von Verdunstungsbecken für Jahrzehnte zu fördern. Cypress hat alle verfügbaren geologischen Daten bezüglich der Dean-Claims zusammengetragen und geprüft. Das Datenmaterial weist auf sehr günstige potenzielle Lithiumsoleexplorationsziele im Konzessionsgebiet hin. Das Konzessionsgebiet umfasst mehrere vorrangige Zielgebiete, zu denen weitläufige Ausbisse von alterierten grünen Tonsteinen und die Präsenz von Thermalschloten zählen. Nach Auffassung von Cypress könnten sich auf dem Grundwasserspiegel unterhalb der Tonsteine und möglicherweise ebenfalls entlang von Strukturen, die diese Einheiten durchkreuzen, weitere Lithiumsolen befinden. Die geologische Formation Esmeralda ist die bekannte Muttergesteinseinheit für Lithiumsolen und für die lithiumhaltigen Verdampfungsgesteine, die derzeit von Cypress im Clayton Valley erkundet werden. Zu den bekannten Strukturen innerhalb der Dean-Claims gehört die dominante Verwerfung Angel Island, eine distriktweite Transversalverschiebung, die sich durch die stark zerklüfteten umgebenden Gesteinseinheiten zieht. Diese Bruchzone steht als eine mögliche Leitung der Solen zur Eindringung in die zugrundeliegenden Ascheschichten sowie als eine höchst poröse Zone, die entlang des Streichens selbst Lithiumsolezonen bergen könnte, im Zentrum der Explorationsaktivitäten. Die Deformation entlang der Verwerfung Angel Island bietet ein kompliziertes, jedoch äußerst aussichtsreiches Ziel für die Existenz struktureller Fallen für Lithiumsolen. President Don Huston sagte hierzu: Cypress ist seit Ende 2015 engagiert im Clayton Valley tätig und verfolgt hierbei das wesentliche Ziel, ein aussichtsreiches Landpaket mit Lithiumexplorationspotenzial direkt in der Nähe eines aktiven Lithiumsoleproduzenten sowie eines der fortgeschrittensten Explorationsprojekte in diesem Becken, in dem gegenwärtig neue Lithiumsoleressourcen erschlossen werden, zu konsolidieren. Der Erwerb der Dean-Claims ist das jüngste Ergebnis dieser Bemühungen und ist eine Fortführung der Strategie des Unternehmens, im Zentrum von Clayton Valley wichtigen Grundbesitz mit hohem Potenzial für die kurzfristige Lithiumressourcenerschließung zu erwerben. Die Bedingungen der Optionsvereinbarung für den Erwerb einer hundertprozentigen Beteiligung an den Dean-Claims im Clayton Valley durch Cypress Development sehen folgende Barzahlungen und Aktienausgaben vor: Jahr 1: 30.000 USD in bar und 250.000 Aktien von Cypress Jahr 2: 30.000 USD in bar und 250.000 Aktien von Cypress Jahr 3: 30.000 USD in bar und 250.000 Aktien von Cypress Jahr 4: 50.000 USD in bar und 300.000 Aktien von Cypress Der Optionsgeber wird eine Nettoförderbeteiligung (Net Smelter Return; NSR) in Höhe von 3 % einbehalten, wobei Cypress das Recht hat, Zweidrittel (66,6 %) dieser NSR für 1.000.000 $ zu erwerben. Diese Optionsvereinbarung sieht keine Arbeitsverpflichtungen vor. Cypress hat in den Dean-Claims bereits eingehende ober- und unterirdische Probeentnahmen eingeleitet. Die ersten Lithiumanalyseergebnisse der Proben aus den reichhaltigen grünen, vulkanoklastischen Evaporit-Tonstein-Ausbissen im Konzessionsgebiet werden die Ausrichtung eines erweiterten Arbeitsprogramms des Unternehmens in naher Zukunft unterstützen. Ich bin der meinung das er im kleinen Stil versucht köufer zu verunsichern. dadrauf nicht zu reagieren ist nicht die beste alternative weil er das schon ewig macht.
