FI wird daher im Rahmen einer vertieften Analyse prüfen, wie sich der Wert der Vermögenswerte der Banken in verschiedenen Stressszenarien auswirken kann. Europe’s commercial real estate sector (CRE) is closely interconnected with the financial sector and has been hit by cyclical and structural shocks. On average, CRE loans account for about 9 percent of bank loan portfolios in Europe. Stress in the CRE sector can affect the financial system and economic activity significantly. Common exposures of banks and nonbank financial institutions to CRE *** risks to financial stability. As losses in CRE push banks’ profits down and erode capital, they will need to raise equity or reduce lending, reducing aggregate demand further and inducing a feedback loop, and thus affect economic activity. European CRE sectors are often economically large and labor intensive. Schweden hat eine echtes Problem: The Riksbank needs to restore its capital: Today, Governor Erik Thedéen visited the Riksdag Committee on Finance to present an analysis of the Riksbank's financial position, earnings capacity and long-term capital requirements. “The preliminary results of the analysis indicate that the Riksbank needs to have its equity restored to at least the basic level stated in the Sveriges Riksbank Act of SEK 40 billion. As per the end of September 2023, a restoration to the basic level would entail a capital injection of almost SEK 80 billion.
