Seadrill in financial rejig Struggling rig contractor in amendments with affiliates amid torturous restructuring process  Seadrill is exiting financial commitments to one of its affiliate firms while extending a credit facility for another as part of a critical financial restructuring process being carried out by the beleaguered rig giant. The London-based contractor, backed by shipping, offshore and aquaculture billionaire John Fredriksen, has now agreed with drilling services outfit Archer and its lenders to extinguish about $253 million in financial guarantees in return for a cash payment of $25 million. It is also in talks to eliminate the remaining $25 million in guarantees in return for a cash payment amounting to 10% of their face value. In addition, Seadrill has agreed to convert $146 million in subordinated loans to Archer into a $45 million subordinated convertible loan with maturity in 2021 at which time it can be converted into equity based on a strike price of $2.083 per share. The contractor has meanwhile also agreed to amend a revolving credit facility provided to majority-owned harsh-environment rig subsidiary North Atlantic Drilling Ltd. Seadrill said in a statement the $25 million facility, which was entered into in January this year and was due to mature by an extended date of 30 April 2017, will be increased to $25 million and the maturity date further extended to 30 June this year. “This interim funding arrangement has been put in place while broader restructuring negotiations continue at both companies,” the company stated. Oslo and New York-listed Seadrill is engaged in torturous talks with creditors including bondholders and banks to restructure massive debts of around $8.5 billion, part of about $14 billion in total liabilities. The cash-strapped company has warned it is likely to enter US Chapter 11 proceedings as it teeters on the brink of bankruptcy.

Wenn ich mir überlege, dass ich die Aktie noch bei 20€ verkauft habe und wo wir jetzt stehen...Wahnsinn! Ich wünsche allen Investierten viel Glück. Ich hatte damals in Shell und Gazprom umgeschichtet

Ich bin erst kürzlich eingestiegen...mit wenig...entweder aus dem Wenigen wir nix....oder es wird viel draus....grins...

@ Das - " das " musst du wissen. Bin nur mit 1500 Euro investiert bei 50 % Minus im Moment. Ich werde nicht verkaufen. Bis zum Ende an Bord. :-)

Klingt nach leichtem Optimismus, aber eher bezüglich des generellen Überlebens der Firma. Wie sehr verdünnt wird, lässt sich nicht herauslesen. Aber laut Wulff scheint Seadrill auch das situativ beste für die jetzigen Shareholder rausholen zu wollen

Schwer verständlich für mich, meinst du eine Kapitalerhöhung mitmachen lohnt sich oder lieber mit Verlust raus?
