Die SolarCity Corporation (San Mateo, Kalifornien, USA) und die Bio-Supermarktkette Whole Foods Market, Inc. (WFM, Austin, Texas, USA) haben vor, an bis zu 100 Standorten in den USA Photovoltaik-Anlagen zu installieren. Der WFM will durch die eigene Solarstrom-Produktion weniger Strom aus dem Stromnetz beziehen und dadurch Geld sparen.
