The solar sector recently got good news with a large 50 bps interest rate cut by the U.S. Fed, but the SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:SEDG) story appears grim to Wall St. The smart energy company recently saw the CEO quickly depart and Chinese competitors appear a big problem in very negative signs for the business. My investment thesis remains Neutral on the stock.

Problem ist nach wie vor der Cashbestand. 812 Millionen Cash hat Solaredge nur noch. 70 Millionen wird man verbrennen die nächsten Quartale. Also reicht das Cash gerade mal nur noch etwas mehr als 2 Jahre. Das Eigenkapital ist mit 2Mrd auch nicht mehr so dick wie es mal war. Wenn Solaredge so weiter macht sind die in 2-3 Jahren pleite.
… Produkte sind nach wie vor gut. Die werden nicht 2 Jahre in Tiefschlaf gehen.
Wichtig bleibt, dass sie sich gegenüber der Konkurrenz noch behaupten können. Bedarf in der Branche ist weiterhin da.
Preiskampf allerdings heftig.
Umsatz und Marge müssen passen.
