40 abgeworben Kunden sind eine Menge. problematischer ist die Pressemeldung dazu, das erzeugt Aufmerksamkeit bei den anderen Veeva-Kunden, die noch nichts von der geplanten Salesforce Software wussten.

Erstmal gut, dass ich beide im Depot habe. Vor Jahren hatte man befürchtet, salesforce würde ERP Anbietern wie SAP, Oracle das Leben schwer machen. Sieht heute auch anders aus. Muss man natürlich beoabachten, so einfach ist für die Anwender ein Wechsel nicht.

Das hört sich nicht gut an.

Salesforce Inc. has announced that it is acquiring several large customers from its former partner, Veeva Systems Inc. According to Jeff Amann, executive vice president of Salesforce’s industry-specific software lines, more than 40 customers, including a “top three global pharma leader,” have signed agreements to use Salesforce’s upcoming life sciences product. Salesforce and Veeva had an understanding in place since 2007 that allowed Veeva to operate without competition from Salesforce. However, in late 2022, Veeva announced that it would be ending this agreement, enabling the company to develop a broader suite of applications. This decision prompted Salesforce to create a competing product and actively pursue Veeva’s customers.
