Oppenheimer has an 'Outperform' rating on VKTX and a $164 price target. Oppenheimer's 'Summary' of VKTX as per the report is as follows: "VKTX announced a game changing manufacturing agreement with CDMO CordenPharma for API production and fill/finish of both subQ and oral VK2735, with sufficient capacity to support VK2735's multi-$billion commercial potential. We view this update as a critical step in VKTX's evolution to commercialization and believe that secured manufacturing ahead of VK2735's late-stage pivotal trials could ease investor concerns regarding commercial scalability. Moreover, we see this agreement offering potential advantages to streamlining the clinical development of VKTX's DACRA candidate post-IND filing in 2025. Our outlook remains positive for VKTX considering: 1) the strength and totality of clinical data; 2) removal of manufacturing overhang given today's update; and 3) upcoming catalysts, including Ph3 subQ VK2735 study initiation in 2Q25 and Ph2a VENTURE-Oral topline data in 2H25."
