Die EU-Arzneimittelbehörde (EMA) hat die Prüfung eines Medikaments zur Behandlung von Covid-19-Patienten in Gang gesetzt. Studienergebnisse des Antikörper-Mittels Sotrovimab würden nach dem beschleunigten Rolling Review-Verfahren bewertet, teilte die EMA mit. Das Präparat wird von dem britischen Hersteller GlaxoSmithKline gemeinsam mit dem US-Unternehmen Vir Biotechnology produziert. Erste Ergebnisse von Studien deuten nach Angaben der EMA darauf hin, dass das Mittel einen schweren Verlauf der Covid-19-Erkrankung und damit Krankenhausaufnahme und auch Tod verhindern könne. Da die EMA aber noch nicht alle Daten erhalten habe, könne man Nutzen und Risiken noch nicht gegeneinander abwägen.

Skandalös hatte überlegt damals bei 30 $ einzusteigen. Schade
