ALLN-346: ALLN-346 is a first-in-class, orally administered, novel urate degrading enzyme that has been designed for activity and stability in the gastrointestinal tract. Allena is completing its preclinical development of ALLN-346 for the treatment of hyperuricemia in patients with gout in the setting of advanced CKD and also scaling its manufacturing processes to support clinical studies. Allena Pharmaceuticals: Unique Treatment For Enteric Hyperoxaluria Not Reflected In Valuation Summary Allena Pharmaceuticals drug, Reloxaliase, is in Phase 3 clinical trials for enteric hyperoxaluria (EH), a leading cause of the most common type of kidney stone. Topline data from one of the Phase 3 studies, URIROX-1, is slated to be released before the end of the year.  Data from URIROX-2 should become available in 2021. Current treatment of enteric hyperoxaluria primarily involves dietary modifications and calcium supplementation, but compliance is variable. EH can result from inflammatory bowel disease, short bowel syndrome, celiac disease or as a result of gastric bypass for obesity. Allena's stock has a market capitalization of $100 million (and $48 million in cash), which does not reflect the potential for Reloxaliase or its earlier stage compound, ALLN-346, for hyperuricemia.  The cash is forecast to last until Q4 2020. Allena Pharmaceuticals (ALNA) is focused on rare metabolic and kidney disorders. Its lead drug, Reloxiliase, degrades oxalate in the gastrointestinal tract, and is being studied to treat enteric hyperoxaluria (EH).
