Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) is set to play a crucial role in powering the electric vehicle revolution after producing its first battery-grade lithium carbonate from brines at its Paradox Lithium Project in Utah, USA.
The company produced the lithium carbonate by using the flowsheet designed by its direct lithium extraction (DLE) partner Sunresin New Materials Co. Ltd for the project’s lithium-rich brines.
With the product samples at hand, Anson will now be able to advance discussions with potential off-take partners.

“The emission exception is an extremely significant approval, as securing a small source emissions exemption at state level from the Utah Department of Environmental Quality means that the company will not be required to seek any further air quality permits from the Federal EPA.
“Anson has designed the Paradox Project to extract, transport, process and dispose of lithium-bearing brine on state or private areas.

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) has been granted a small source emissions exemption by the State of Utah’s Department of Environmental Quality for its Paradox Lithium Project in the USA, a huge win for being committed to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles in its business conduct.
The approval exempts Paradox from being subjected to the federal government’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) supervision or oversight, which means that the project could go into production quicker than expected.
This permit is a key requirement for full-scale processing and securing it is consistent with Anson's aim of developing Paradox into a sustainable lithium-producing operation with minimal impact on the environment.

an immediate upgrade of the resource
brine reservoirs already known to ASN
availability of existing wells for re-entry including the drill already before BLM
avoids the huge amount of time and effort resultant from reservoir and production allocation with Strategic Lithium. Believe me having been in the oil and gas industry with shared reservoirs the amount of wasted effort and time with presentations, meetings, communications, arguments with adjoining contracts would have been enormous and
more efficient use of infrastructure across the whole land holding.
