Bisher hieß es aus dem Bundeswirtschaftsministerium im Herbst würden die ersten Entscheidungen beim Rohstofffonds fallen. Arafura erhofft sich ja daraus eine Beteiligung in Höhe von 100 Mio €. Das klingt jetzt aber doch nach einer weiteren Verschiebung. Die Obfrau der Grünen im Wirtschaftsausschuss, Dr. Sandra Detzer, stellte an die Bundesregierung die Frage:  “Bis wann ist mit einer ersten Mittelvergabe aus dem Rohstofffonds zu rechnen” Und die Antwort des Staatssekretärs Frank Wetzel vom 2. Oktober 2025 lautet: “... Derzeit werden die ersten Projekte im Rahmen der Förderung hinsichtlich einer möglichen Beteiligung geprüft. Aktuell gehen wir davon aus, dass noch in diesem Jahr erste Entscheidungen dazu getroffen werden könnten, sofern die Voraussetzungen dafür erfüllt sind. Oktober die Seltenen Erden des Nolan-Projekts. Vielleicht weckt dass die deutsche Verwaltung aus dem Bürokraten-Tiefschlaf. Schließlich haben sich vor ca 1 Jahr noch weitere Projekte um den Rohstofffonds beworben.
