Let me dampen your enthusiasm with a dose of reality. I recommend you review the quarterly reports going back a couple of years. 1) BSM never got close to consistent nameplate production. They always fell well short. 2) Even at full nameplate production, they would still be highly unprofitable because the mine is just too small. The usual counter to this is that there will be Phase 2 expansion. Who is going to fund Stage 2 expansion when they couldn't even get to 50% of stage 1 nameplate?! 3) So now, they are going into lithium brine extraction? It takes many years to establish an operation like that and is vastly more complicated, not to mention expensive. This is more BSM hype. BSM rode the recent lithium stock rise now into overbought territory (yes, Piedmont is not worth $1.3 billion right now) based on improving lithium carbonate prices. There is no fundamentals holding up BSM. This recent spike is a lucky gift for folks to get some of their losses out. All IMO naturally.
