Bayer: launches tomatoes resistant to the ToBRV virus

(CercleFinance.com) - Bayer announces the launch in 2025 of new tomato varieties resistant to the ToBRFV (tomato brown rugose fruit virus), including stacked resistance genes offering enhanced and durable protection against virus mutations.
Unlike single-resistance varieties, these multi-resistant hybrids act at different stages of the plant-virus interaction, reducing the risk of circumvention by mutant strains.
In two trials under high viral pressure, the new varieties maintained their resistance, whereas non-resistant varieties showed severe symptoms.
The first hybrids available include Ferreira (red beef tomato) and Futumaru (pink beef tomato). Other segments will follow: large, medium, cocktail, and cherry plum.
Bayer confirms the agronomic performance of these varieties, which aim to preserve yields and quality while protecting growers' incomes.

Was sich nach meinem Beobachtungen geändert hat: Wenn der DAX nach oben geht, wird Bayer wieder gekauft. Das war lange Zeit umgekehrt.

Ja, so habe ich das beim Kurs von 50 auch schon gesehen. Bayer die letzte günstige Aktie. Leider war das erst der Anfang vom Absturz. KBAM hat damals gewarnt.

Wollte ursprünglich eigentlich meine Bayer-Verluste aussitzen. Als Lanxess mir dann die Chance bot, die Bayer-Verluste zu kompensieren, habe ich einen Schlussstrich unter das Fehlinvest gezogen. Kann aber gut sein, dass sie bald in die Zone 45-50 zurückkehren.
