Sources say #BYD has adjusted its brand architecture in overseas markets, consolidating Dynasty and Ocean into the “BYD brand,” merging Denza and FCB into a combined operation, and leaving Yangwang as a standalone marque.
In response, Li Yunfei, General Manager of BYD Group's Brand and Public Relations Department, said the move helps focus resources and integrate channels.
BYD sold 1.04M units overseas last year, targets 1.5M this year, and achieved 790,000 in H1. “In the medium to long term, we aim for a 50-50 domestic-overseas sales split, gradually raising the overseas share.”
