Carbios is going through a rough patch, despite having a unique enzymatic technology for recycling PET, which is used in plastic bottles and polyester textiles. Since June 2023, the company from Clermont-Ferrand had been making progress. For example, it established a partnership with the Thai company Indorama, which was ready to support Carbios with up to 110 million euros for its first factory in Meurthe-et-Moselle, with the foundation stone laid in April 2024. Other factory projects were emerging in China and the United Kingdom, and supply and distribution partnerships were piling up. Everything changed this winter. Since December 2024, Carbios has had two different CEOs, postponed the construction of its factory by two years, and launched a restructuring that could reduce its workforce by 40%.

Die News steht schon seit 19. März auf der Carbios Seite. Aber versteh ich das richtig, dass die jetzt schon so produziert wird ? Woher nehmen die aktuell das rPet ? Kommt das aus der Demoanlage ?

Die Webseite hatte ich damals bei einem Aktienstand von 33 Euro inspiziert. In Werbevideos waren Ozeane mit Plastikproblemen zu sehen. Vielleicht kommt daher der Trugschluss dass das Verfahren etwas dagegen tun würde... Irreführend im Quadrat, zum Glück musste der alte Manager gehen...

Vielleicht stecken wirklich noch Geld rein....
