Credit: Bing Guan/Bloomberg A Natural Gas Wave Is Building. How To Ride It. By Laura Sanicola We’re living in a natural-gas powered world and markets are catching on—a bit too much. Pipelines and other infrastructure companies look like the best bets in this climate, benefiting from rising volumes and exports, with less exposure to commodity prices than drillers. Natural-gas stocks are leading the energy pack among election winners. The U.S. Natural Gas Fund, an ETF that tracks futures for the commodity, is up 14% since the election, double the returns of the energy sector. Gas-focused E&P companies, pipeline operators and LNG exporters have also rallied. Investors expect President-elect Trump to fast-track permits for LNG projects, supporting more exports, while allowing more drilling and easing up on pipeline regulations. The tech industry is also fueling demand as utilities seek more power for data centers and AI-related services. The hurdle for investors is that many of the stocks are trading above linked prices for natural gas. The E&Ps are valued as if gas were trading between $3.50-$3.75/MMBtu and prices would need to reach $4 to support more equity gains, UBS estimates. That may be a tall order. January 2025 futures are around $3.40, implying some big gains from Henry Hub spot prices around $2. But that’s typical for the winter season. Spot hasn’t budged from the $2-$3 range since early 2023. Even with exports likely to increase and demand rising from utilities, getting to $4 sustainably may be tough without a geopolitical shock to global supplies or super-cold winter. Europe is a major buyer of natural gas, and given that Europe is entering this winter with storage levels at 95% capacity, even a cold snap may only give prices a short-lived boost. Low gas prices aren’t a problem for utilities, making the fuel more cost-efficient. U.S. data centers and tech companies are also gobbling up all the power they can find. While nuclear and renewables are in demand, data centers need reliable power. Wind and solar are too intermittent, and the new modular reactors being designed and constructed will take years to come online.

Es gibt einige negative News, so z.b. aus Saudi Arabien welche ihre Öl/Gas quote schon vor längerer Zeit gedrosselt haben, aber Russland nicht mitgezogen hat und mehr Gas verkauft hat , wie das Jahr zuvor und so gibt es Missstimmung bei der OPEC+ und es wird vor einen Handelskrieg gewarnt. Es gibt viele variablen und unbekannte welche berücksichtigt werden müssen. Trotzdem ich bin weiterhin investiert, Mal sehen wohin die Reise uns noch so führen wird. Ich bin froh das sich die Aktie stabilisiert und Bitcoin sich so gut entwickelt hat. Ich freue mich, dass Ihr auch nicht aufgeben habt daran zu glauben.... Diversified Energy Co. und EQT Corp. haben sich im Rahmen einer Einigung zur Beilegung von Klagen bereit erklärt, insgesamt bis zu 6,5 Millionen US-Dollar zu zahlen. Diversified habe mehr als 2.000 unproduktive und Methan austretende Gasquellen aufgegeben und sei nicht in der Lage gewesen, die Kosten für die Verschließung aller rund 12.000 Quellen zu bezahlen, die dem Unternehmen von EQT verkauft worden seien.
