The Netherlands also invests
Today it was announced that the Netherlands will also invest heavily in its anti-drone technology.According to outgoing State Secretary Tuinman, it concerns between 1 and 2.5 billion euros. Defense wants to prevent similar drone incidents with that investment, as those that occurred last weekend over the airports of Eindhoven and Volkel.
The Netherlands is also catching up with this, not only to better protect its own airspace, but also to be prepared within NATO for an opponent who is increasingly focused on unmanned systems. The message is clear: those who underestimate the drone threat are chasing the facts. The Netherlands no longer wants that to happen.
