Hella hält trotz Handelskonflikten an Jahresprognose fest
Donnerstag, 08.05.25 07:30

FORVIA HELLA Reports Stable Q1 2025 Sales at €2.0 Billion, Operating Income Slightly Declines to €109 Million
07:01 08/05/2025
Hella GmbH & Co. KGaA has released its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. The company reported group-wide sales amounting to €2.0 billion, largely maintaining the level of the previous year. Adjusted for currency effects, this marks a slight decline of 0.8 percent compared to the previous year, with a 0.3 percent decline on a reported basis. Operating income for the first quarter of 2025 was €109 million, down from €111 million in the previous year, resulting in an operating income margin of 5.5 percent compared to 5.6 percent last year. The net cash flow was reported at €-61 million, a decrease from €-51 million in the previous year. In relation to reported sales, net cash flow stands at -3.0 percent, compared to -2.6 percent previously. Hella has confirmed its outlook for the full fiscal year 2025, expecting currency-adjusted consolidated sales to range between €7.6 and €8.0 billion, with an operating income margin anticipated between 5.3 and 6.0 percent. The company expects net cash flow to reach at least €200 million. Despite an initially stable industry environment, the company now anticipates a 1.7 percent decline in global vehicle production due to new trade restrictions, potentially resulting in 1.6 million fewer vehicles produced than previously forecast. The company is taking measures to manage this situation, including reinforcing cost management and coordinating closely with customers and suppliers within the supply chain.

'The 25% auto-parts tariffs are slated to go into effect on Saturday, but automakers are allowed to get rebates on those up to an amount equivalent to 3.75% of the value of a U.S.-made car for one year. That offset falls to 2.5% of the car’s value in a second year, and then it would be phased out.
“We find ourselves yet again in more calculations,” Stevens said.
The Trump administration has goals around U.S. jobs and a resurgence of U.S. manufacturing, but companies are having to make complex decisions, including moving factories back to the U.S., amid ongoing uncertainty.
“You are not going to make multimillion-dollar decisions when you are not sure,” Stevens said. Large automakers may look to utilize existing U.S. plants to the fullest, but even retooling an existing plant may take longer than two years.
Still, it’s positive that “the lines of communication have opened up and the White House is listening,” he said.' https://www.marketwatch.com/story/trump-offers-some-auto-tariff-relief-but-not-for-carmakers-two-biggest-concerns-0dec9371?mod=bulletin_ribbon

Kann das irgendjemand verstehen? Meiner Meinung nach schaffen sie nur eine Menge Bürokratie: Trump softens tariffs on auto parts for US-assembled cars
Published April 29, 2025
Philip Neuffer
The U.S. will reimburse domestic car manufacturers for a portion of the costs related to 25% tariffs on auto parts set to begin May 3, according to an amended executive order President Donald Trump signed Tuesday.
The updated order stipulates that automakers that assemble their vehicles in the U.S. can apply to offset up to 3.75% of their tariff costs related to auto imports for one year, retroactive to April 3. The available offset rate will drop to 2.5% for the next 12-month period and then be removed.
The 3.75% rate was calculated based on the application of the soon-to-be implemented 25% auto parts tariff to vehicles made with 85% U.S. or United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement content, per the amended order. In such an example, the automaker would not pay any tariffs on auto part imports for the next year.
As part of the amended order, the Commerce Department has 30 days to establish a process for automakers to provide the necessary documentation to receive the cost offset. Such information includes domestic production plans, projected tariff costs and importers of record.
The new order does not alter previous 25% auto tariffs enacted by the Trump administration, nor does it impact those on steel and aluminum imports and other sectors. However, in a separate proclamation signed Tuesday, the Trump administration further clarified that current tariffs on imports of steel, aluminum, cars and non-USMCA-compliant goods will not stack on top of duties on auto parts. https://www.supplychaindive.com/news/trump-tariffs-auto-parts-cost-offset/746686/

European markets rise as Trump prepares tariff reduction on auto parts
Story by Tina Teng and Angela Barnes •
The Trump administration has signalled tariff relief on auto parts following intense lobbying by industrial leaders. On Monday, White House officials confirmed President Trump’s plan to reduce tariffs on auto parts for cars manufactured in the United States, as first reported by The Wall Street Journal. The administration will also prevent automakers from paying tariffs on top of existing levies, such as those on steel and aluminium. A proclamation formalising the change is expected to be signed by the president as soon as Tuesday.
“President Trump is building an important partnership with both the domestic automakers and our great American workers,” said Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick in a statement. “This deal is a major victory for the president’s trade policy by rewarding companies that manufacture domestically, while providing runway to manufacturers who have expressed their commitment to invest in America and expand their domestic manufacturing.”
The decision echoes Trump’s indication in mid-April that he wanted to “help car companies,” giving them “a little bit of time” to shift parts production domestically. Trump had exempted auto parts from the 25% tariffs until 3 May. Some major US carmakers, such as Tesla and Ford, have either paused plans for the mass production of new models or suspended shipments to China due to retaliatory tariffs. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/european-markets-rise-as-trump-prepares-tariff-reduction-on-auto-parts/ar-AA1DOiyZ
