It’s a strategic shift that will keep U.S. oil and gas production growing while driving down costs to stay globally competitive. The Permian Basin produces 6.2 million barrels a day of crude oil and 25.4 billion cubic feet of gas. If it were its own country, it would rank third in oil globally behind only Saudi Arabia and Russia. The oil and gas producers in the Basin recently began moving as quickly as possible to connect wells pads to the electric grid, sometimes even building their own substations and wires to shorten the time it takes to plug into the grid. One Houston-based oil-and-gas company is building its own 10-megawatt solar farm in West Texas to power its drilling and fracking operations. Generating electricity at a drilling pad with gas turbines or diesel generation is expensive. Rystad Energy estimates that operators that tap into the electric grid save an average of $1 per barrel of oil equivalent. A 2022 report commissioned by Exxon, Chevron and four other major oil companies concluded the grid was the most “cost-effective and reliable power solution.” Demand for electricity is growing by 20% a year in the Permian Basin, from 3.5 gigawatts in late 2021 to 7.5 gigawatts today, according to Rystad Energy. We’re just getting started. Texas projected in April 2025 that oil and gas demand for electricity could rise by another 3.1 gigawatts by 2030, according to a load forecast by Texas’ main grid operator. Here’s where solar energy comes in. Connecting to affordable electricity is the best option to keep costs low and stay competitive. The Permian Basin is in the Texas grid’s West Zone. Last year, more than 88% of the electricity produced there was from solar and wind farms, according to an analysis of the actual electricity production last year. Forget what you hear on political talk shows. Texans are pragmatic, and we understand that solar, oil and natural gas can work together. Naja, vor den Quartalszahlen war und ist die Nervosität immer groß. Der dreimonatige Zyklus eines Aktionärs 😁

Die "unbegründeten Vorwürfe" sind m. E. die Folge bzw. das Symptom dieser Ängste, also das, was aus dem Ventil entweicht. Der einzige Schutz dagegen ist die volle Überzeugung bezüglich des Invests, da dieses einem Sicherheit gibt und nicht gleich Zweifel an der Sache an sich aufkommen lässt.

Ja, es ist menschlich, aber es nervt mich dennoch. Besonders, da es oft mit unbegründeten Vorwürfen einhergeht.
