In May, Medical Properties (MPW) said its tenant, Prospect Medical, had closed on $375M in new financings from third-party lenders in a deal that would benefit both MPW and Prospect. As part of that deal MPW would get a stake in Prospect. Earlier this month, the hospital REIT said its Q2 2023 earnings benefited from the receipt of equity in Prospect Medical Holdings in lieu of cash for 2023 owed rent and interest. However, on July 20, a California state regulator ordered that the transaction be put on hold, according to the order that was sent to Prospect, the WSJ said. Medical Properties Trust (MPW), though, did not disclose the order in its Q2 earnings report or in its 10-Q filing. Before the refinancing deal, Prospect had stopped paying rent to MPW and had closed two hospitals near Philadelphia. Prospect told the WSJ that it isn't in a position to answer questions about the California regulator's July 20 order. Meanwhile, a Medical Properties (MPW) spokesman told the newspaper that the transaction is going through "a normal regulatory review process that was expected and is not controversial." He said he expects the deal to gain approval, the WSJ reported.

Frage , wo gibt es zur Zeit keine Fallende Messer ? Ist wird zur Zeit sehr viel Abverkauft , selbst bei Aktien mit sehr guten Zahlen und guten Aussichten geht der Kurs in den Keller.

Also wurde anonym etwas eingereicht. Das kann aber sonst wer gewesen sein. Und alles ist gut. Ich hasse sowas. Eventuell will sich nur ein Shorter die Taschen voll machen. Aber wenn es echt ist, wäre es sicher blöd. Warum sollten MPT und Prospect sich über den Wert uneins sein? Der muss ja im Vertrag beziffert sein. Schon am Freitag zu leaken, um die Angst vor zwei Tagen Handelspause zu nutzen und so eine Überreaktion on top zu provozieren, sieht auch sehr startegisch aus...

Ich frage mich was das für ein Katastrophen Management sein muss, wenn die Gerüchte stimmen. Nach Handelsrecht haben wir sowas wie ein Realisationsprinzip. Es dürfen nur Gewinne ausgewiesen werden, welche auch wirklich da sind. Auch wenn hier internationales Recht angewendet wird. Aber das bestätigt doch sehr den Verdacht des Bilanzbetruges.

Muss nicht sein - wenn das den Laden stabilisieren kann sähe es gut aus. Aber diese Unstimmigkeiten klingen recht fatal ehrlich gesagt.

ich bin im minus, aber langfristig gesehen wäre es wirklich besser die dividende erstmal zu kürzen, egal ob der kurs fällt. im endeffekt ist es nur ne momentaufnahme. besser so und langfristig wieder auf kurs.
