"Today, we announced that the Phase III GRADUATE I and II studies of gantenerumab in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) did not meet the primary endpoint of slowing clinical decline as measured by a change from baseline on the Clinical Dementia Rating-Sum of Boxes (CDR-SB). As you all know, these were among the most eagerly-anticipated studies in our pipeline. The safety and efficacy of gantenerumab, an anti-amyloid monoclonal antibody, was evaluated in nearly 2,000 people across 30 countries with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) due to AD and mild Alzheimer’s dementia. The GRADUATE trials were designed based on learnings from previous studies and were executed flawlessly by the study teams. We were of course prepared for any outcome, but the negative results were still difficult to hear. This news is certainly disappointing for our teams, but even more so for the AD community who continue to hope for more options that will help slow or stop the cognitive decline that takes away the memories, identity and lives of millions worldwide. Even so, I am proud to be part of a company that takes bold approaches to combat the most challenging diseases by following the science, as we did with the GRADUATE program. Indeed, we are determined to persevere in this fight: our efforts to develop medicines for people living with AD will continue. We have additional therapeutic and diagnostic AD candidates in our pipeline, so we will continue to pursue more opportunities to benefit these patients. What’s next The full results of the GRADUATE trials will be presented at the upcoming Clinical Trials on Alzheimer’s Disease (CTAD) Conference in the coming weeks. Endziel der Studie zur Alzheimer-Therapie nicht erreicht. Gantenerumab floppt. Dieses Scheitern gehört zwar zum BipPharma-Geschäft, läßt aber nicht auf eine Kurserholung hoffen - im Gegenteil. Ganz bestimmt aber ist damit die wiederholte Frage beantwortet, warum die Aktie noch so stark geshortet ist. Die LVs verdienen sich an MOR eine goldene Nase…

Naja, gut. Dafür halten sich die Verluste ja noch in Grenzen. Ich hab dem nicht all zu viel beigemessen, es ist Alzheimer und bisher funktioniert da nicht viel. Aber mit -20% hab ich jetzt auch nicht gerechnet. Eher mit so mit -5 bius -10% und am Ende des Tages Non-Event. WIr werden sehen ob heute wirklich die Pleite ausgerufen wird "Game Over". Pfff

ich Persönlich hab nur auf Gant Spekuliert deshlab bin ich auch wieder raus.

Mit verlaub ist so eine Aussage Blödsinn! Haste nur auf Gante spekuliert? Für mich bleibt die Pipeline noch intakt. Bonus in diesem Jahr ist für mich die Kooperation mit Pfizer. Und im Nachhinein war es ja schlau vom Kress Gante zu 60% wegzugeben. Da hat er aus Sch**** Gold gemacht? Ich muss gleich mal gucken für was der 60% Gante anteil in $ bewertet wurde, wenn und ob ich da was finde.
