$NOVO $NVO Danske Bank reiterates its view that the year has started off better for Novo Nordisk than the company might have expected, and that the lower end of its guidance range looks too conservative.
For Q1 26, Danske Bank expects -2% CER revenue growth (-8% reported) and -12% CER EBIT growth (-22% reported).
Says the weekly script data so far has been tracking well above its estimates and therefore lifts its Wegovy pill revenue estimate for 2026 to DKK12.3bn (DKK8.4bn).
Says has not seen patients titrated up to higher doses at the speed it initially expected, and this puts a lid on its expectations, but it does not change the fact that the uptake in volume has been much higher than it expected, and initial evidence from the Fondayo launch does not seem to spoil the party.
Reiterates Buy rating and 12M target price of DKK350 per share.
