Just 48 hours later, after NVO attempted a technical breakout, DB suddenly downgraded it to SELL, while only modestly cutting its target from DKK 275 to DKK 265. (Which by the way is 3% only, not 9% what was mentioned by some editors - another manipulation attempt? Maybe...) What fundamentally changed in 48 hours? Most of the cited concerns - the patent cliff, 2027 growth uncertainty and the upcoming Capital Markets Day - were already known when DB reiterated HOLD. Coincidentally, the downgrade arrives right after the breakout attempt and immediately pressures the stock again. This does NOT prove market manipulation, but the timing certainly deserves scrutiny. A rating change this significant based largely on already-known information, only two days after reiterating HOLD, raises legitimate questions. The timing is even more interesting considering the large amount of call options expiring Friday around $47.50, $48 and $48.50. A sharp move below these strikes just before expiration could make a significant number of calls expire worthless. Kursziele werden auch häufig aus eigenen Interesse gemacht. Sollte man immer im Hinterkopf haben.

DB kann das Kursziel ja sehen wo sie will. Aber wenn man die eigene Analyse 2 Tage später - ohne News - massiv ändert und "prescription boost from Medicare", "ability to return to growth in 2027" und "longer-term patent cliff" begründet, fragt man sich schon ob Kursziele nicht nur "gewürfelt" werden ...
