Die Anhebung des Kursziels folgt auf die Mitteilung von NovoCure vom Mittwoch, dass die US-Arzneimittelbehörde FDA die Zulassung für Optune Pax zur Behandlung von lokal fortgeschrittenem Bauchspeicheldrüsenkrebs in Kombination mit Gemcitabin und Nab-Paclitaxel erteilt hat. Nach Einschätzung von H.C. Wainwright erfolgte die Zulassung früher als erwartet, da sie ursprünglich erst für das zweite Quartal 2026 prognostiziert worden war. Dies verschaffe NovoCure ein zusätzliches Quartal zur Vorbereitung der Markteinführung und zur Einleitung der Kostenerstattungsverfahren. Die FDA-Zulassung basierte auf der PANOVA-3-Studie, in der 571 randomisierte Patienten entweder mit Optune Pax in Kombination mit Gemcitabin und Nab-Paclitaxel oder nur mit Gemcitabin und Nab-Paclitaxel behandelt wurden.

Novocure ist ein Zock - Ja - aber sollte denen der Durchbruch in Phase 3 gelingen, geht das Ding in ungeahnte Sphären. Da würde ein Milliardenmarkt warten beim Kleinzeller.
