The results topped Wall Street expectations and showed that demand for Oracle’s AI and cloud services remains strong. For the fiscal third quarter, Oracle reported earnings of $1.79 per share, beating the Street estimate of $1.70. Revenue rose 22% year over year to $17.19 billion, also ahead of expectations. Wedbush: AI Monetization Is Starting Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said the report came as a “huge relief” for investors who have been worried about Oracle’s aggressive spending on data centers. According to the 5-star analyst, the company’s strong results and growing backlog suggest that AI demand remains very healthy across the tech sector. The analyst said Oracle’s $553 billion backlog remains the most important metric for investors to track. While it came in slightly below Street expectations of $556 billion, it still increased from $523 billion last quarter, showing that demand for AI infrastructure continues to build. Wedbush also believes the report signals the early stages of AI monetization, meaning Oracle is starting to convert large AI deals into real revenue growth. Jefferies: Clean Beat Across the Board Likewise, Jefferies analyst Brent Thill also struck a positive tone following the earnings report. He reiterated a Buy rating on Oracle stock with a $320 price target. Thill described the quarter as a “clean beat across the board.” Revenue, operating margin, and earnings all came in ahead of Wall Street forecasts. Cloud growth was another highlight. Oracle’s cloud business grew 41% year over year in constant currency, while infrastructure-as-a-service revenue jumped 81%. The analyst also pointed to Oracle’s strong operating margin of 42.9%, which came in slightly above expectations.
