Die wollen doch nicht dat Geld für alle 200 haben oder??? Dachte immer für 40-50 und der rest soll durch Einnahmen finanziert werden....

Es dürfen keine Neuigkeiten verkündet werden. Das geht nur via offiziellem Announcment. Da immer noch Geld für den Bau der 200 Satelliten benötigt wird, ist das eher als Investoren-Brautschau-Runde zu sehen. Bald geht SAS auch die Kohle aus was ziemlich sicher zu einem CR führen wird.

Ob da wirklich Neuigkeiten verkündet werden? Oder nur die nächste Werbeveranstaltung? Ich glaube da kommt bald etwas...

Feedback von der heutigen Roadshow: All in all a good conversation with SAS Management.. Few thoughts from my end: - Mier highlighted BeepTool revenue potentially 6m in the first year however no ETA on when revenue will start apart from the fact the contract stipulates 30m minimum over the life of the contract. - Conversations with potential investors in progress for first batch of sats, didn't want to disclose anything more. - Huge potential for the technology for marine services, fishing boats, shipping container tracking etc - The hotspot panel that connects to the SAS network is about the size of a iPad mini. - The POS agreement with Paratus looks promising, Africa POS infrastructure is in need for SAS tech. - Gomspace and Virgin partnership is rock solid, virgin already working on the payload configuration - I specifically asked a question around bandwidth capabilities and the answer was very positive indicating that the SAS network will have significant bandwidth Looking back at what SAS has achieved in 1.5years since listing is amazing, Meir comes across as very confident in the tech and achieving the vision. He warns things will most likely go wrong - Space is risky. I definitely feel more confident in my holding with SAS albeit only $5k. Cheers -

SAS signs field trial for Point-of-Sale device with Paratus Group The Field Trial will open the door to Nano-Satellite-based Point-of-Sale (POS) device market Highlights • Sky and Space Global has signed its first field trial for POS devices with the Paratus Group. • This agreement has the potential to open the door for SAS suppling narrow band communication to thousands of POS devices on the Paratus network across Africa. • The deal demonstrates the commitment of SAS and Paratus to support innovative payment solutions to help connect the unconnected throughout key African markets. Sky and Space Global Ltd (ASX: SAS, “Sky and Space Global” or the “Company”) and Paratus Group are pleased to announce their cooperation in the field of Point-of-Sale (POS) device connectivity. The parties will perform a field trial where the POS will be connected to a banking partner through a SAS IP network. POS is a Multi-Billion USD global target market and is growing at a fast rate. Deployment of POS is becoming widespread in Africa with a rate of 450 devices per 100,000 people in some countries. The field trial is the first step for SAS and Paratus in replacing the current limited and unreliable means of communications with POS devices in remote areas, with new technology. This agreement comes about following the announcement in August 2017 of a Binding Commercial Offtake Contract between SAS and Sat-Space Africa, a wholly owned subsidiary of Paratus Group Holdings. The parties are planning to cooperate for further narrow band telecommunication services in other market segments. Sky and Space Global’s Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Meir Moalem said: “We are very pleased to be working with partners such as Paratus who are well established in the African market and their customer-base reflects the communication needs of the people and corporates in the continent. Our solution will widen the connectivity coverage and reliability of our partners and will enable them to connect the unconnected and drive global socio-economic development.”
